About me

I'm Hans, a 20-something queer intersex cartoonist located in San Francisco. For the past several years I've been a member of interACT Youth, the nation's first youth-led intersex media advocacy group. I currently serve as the organization’s Communications Director. Our staff and Youth advocates speak out on intersex issues, particularly elective surgery pushed on intersex infants by the medical industry. I've spoken to doctors, politicians, journalists, and educators about intersex experiences, and have led the national conversation on intersex issues through advocacy for state-level policies.
